FAQs
What are instrument fittings?
An instrument fitting is a short, hands-on session where your child can try several different band instruments with the guidance of an instructor. The goal is to find the instrument that best matches your child’s physical comfort, tone production, and personal interest.
Does every student need a fitting?
No. Only beginners who would like assistance choosing the right instrument need to schedule a fitting.
Why is it important?
Every student is unique. The fitting helps ensure your child starts on an instrument that suits their physical comfort, sound production, and enthusiasm — setting them up for success from day one.
How long does it take?
Each fitting lasts about 15 minutes. Two students are scheduled per time slot, allowing plenty of personal attention without a long wait.
What should we bring?
Just bring your child and a smile! All instruments and mouthpieces are provided and sanitized between uses.
What happens after the fitting?
You’ll receive your child’s instrument recommendation along with rental or purchase options and details about the first day of class.
